Integro's Louise Pennington Named as a "Woman to Watch: 2009" by Business Insurance magazine
Business Insurance magazine has designated Louise Pennington, managing principal at Integro Insurance Brokers, one of its distinguished "Women to Watch" in 2009.
Pennington was selected by Business Insurance as one of twenty-five industry professionals based on her outstanding personal achievements, significant influence in the marketplace and a commitment to enhancing opportunities for women in the insurance business. She joined Integro two months after its inception in 2005 and is a key member of the firm's Management Risk practice.
"Needless to say, we are very proud of Louise and delighted that the industry has taken note of her talent, dedication and commitment," said Peter Garvey, President and CEO. "She personifies the best our industry offers and we appreciate her skills, expertise and leadership."
An attorney by background, Pennington specializes in brokering management liability insurance, with particular expertise in securities litigation and D&O liability issues.
Pennington is part of the New York leadership committee, which is responsible for strategy and operational organization. She also oversees the New York office's commercial book of business within the management risk practice.
Pennington started her insurance career in 1990 with Marsh Inc.'s Financial and Professional Liability practice. She later pursued a law degree, worked as a prosecutor in the Manhattan District Attorney's office as a trial and appellate lawyer. She worked in private practice before returning to Marsh in 2001.
Pennington joins the growing ranks of Integro's "Women to Watch" colleagues, which includes Ruth Kilduff (Boston) in 2007 and Nancy Aque (Chicago) in 2006.
